Adult Religious Education

The Adult Religious Education Board at All Souls seeks to reflect and serve the larger purposes of a free church.  To this end its goal is to present programs that serve the All Souls Centennial Vision Statement 2021 adopted by the Board of Trustees August 2010.  Our goals are to:

  • Provide programs that foster individual religious and spiritual development, including understanding of Unitarian Universalism.
  • Nurture relationships through intergenerational and age-appropriate programs and events, music and the arts, and large and small groups.
  • Offer programming that connects heads, hearts and hands and that encourages engagement in issues of social justice, environmental stewardship, human rights and religious freedom.
  • Support leadership development that is intentional, inclusive and ongoing.
  • Encourage intellectually stimulating free thought and discussion on issues religious and secular.
  • Cultivate diversity in all aspects in adult programming and participation.

Regular adult education classes are held on Sunday morning at 10:00 and 11:30, on Sunday afternoons at 1:30, and 4:00 on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30.  Most of our programs are open to the general public as well as to members and friends of the congregation. Visitors often find that attending our adult education classes proves to be a comfortable way of getting to know members of our community and our free religious vision.     Classes requiring pre-registration are so noted. Class schedules are subject to change.  Please confirm the current schedule by checking Parish Notes, weekly email update, or this website.
